Make BBQ Ribs in Crock Pot with Sweet Baby Ray’s sauce that will melt in your mouth! These slow cooker ribs are easy to prep with your slow cooker doing all the work. People will think you were in the kitchen all day cooking when really your crockpot does the work. Add a delicious side dish like my famous creamed corn and dinner is done.
BBQ Ribs in Crock Pot with Sweet Baby Ray’s
My husband makes the best ribs in the smoker and they take all day with 5 steps and you have to stay home all day. But every person who has ever eaten them loves them. Sometimes I want to have ribs but don’t want to put the effort in on the smoker so I decided to make his recipe in my Crock Pot and they ended up tender and filled with his same flavor with 10% of the work. He even approved of these!
Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbeque Sauce
You can’t make these ribs without Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbecue Sauce! The sauce really is the boss. This barbeque sauce is the best and comes in so many flavors. I stick to the classic Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbeque Sauce for this recipe but you can use any version you want.
They were perfect for a football party we were hosting for a few friends since I was able to leave them all day while I actually went to my son’s flag football game. We came home and everything was ready to go.
You will still need to finish them for 5-10 minutes on a grill or oven but this step only takes minutes instead of the hours he spends at the smoker.
What to Serve with Crock Pot Ribs
There are so many great sides to serve with ribs! You can make these delicious baked beans or coleslaw. Another side I always love to serve is potatoes either french fries or these cheesy party potatoes!
What Type of Meat to Use for Fall Off the Bone Crock Pot Ribs?
I use pork baby back ribs when I make ribs. They are the most tender ribs in my opinion. You could use spare ribs as well but they usually don’t end up as tender and have little bones and cartilage that I don’t like to pick out.
How To Make Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs
Step 1. Remove membrane off the back of ribs and cut ribs into smaller sections, 2-3 ribs per section.
Step 2. Rub dry rub mixture onto ribs and make sure to press it into the meat. Repeat this on each section.

Step 3. Place ribs into crock pot and pour honey over ribs.

Step 4. Put onions and garlic over ribs.

Step 5. Pour apple juice and chicken broth over ribs.

Step 6. Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.

Step 7. Remove ribs from crockpot and transfer to a baking sheet. Brush ribs with BBQ Sauce on ribs and broil for 5 minutes.

Food Allergies-
Gluten Free- All of my recipes are gluten free! My husband has celiac disease, which means he is allergic to gluten. This recipe is gluten free but make sure you get a gluten-free bbq sauce like this one!
Need A New Crock Pot?
My favorite is this Crock Pot 7 quart Programmable Slow Cooker. First and foremost, I love being able to set the timer in case I’m not home when the food is finished cooking and it just switches to warm. Plus you can lock the lid and just carry it to a party. Not only is it easy to carry but also you will never lose another Tupperware or serving dish again at a potluck party!
