Cheesy Potato Kielbasa Soup

Cheesy Potato Kielbasa Soup

This hearty Crock Pot Cheesy Potato Kielbasa Soup is the perfect way to warm up and fill up! Loaded with potatoes, kielbasa, and shredded cheese this satisfying soup makes a quick and easy dinner.

Cheesy Potato Kielbasa Soup

Whenever I make soup I prefer it to be substantial so I can eat it for dinner on its own. I like a very filling soup for dinner so if I’m going to make soup I like it to be more like a stew than a soup. That means lots of yummy goodies like meat, potatoes, and veggies all included. Another hearty soup recipe to try is my Classic Chili!

Disclaimer- Some links below are Amazon affiliate links, meaning at no extra cost to you, I will earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase.

This one-pot soup/stew fits the bill since it has meat, potatoes, and veggies in a rich cheesy sauce. I love to eat it for dinner with a big piece of gluten-free bread. Udi’s Gluten Free French Baguettes is my favorite store-bought bread because they are the perfect size. Then I usually have the leftovers for lunch all week with a sandwich. Just like a Panera duo but 1/3 the price! Also, be sure to use gluten-free Cream of Chicken Soup when making this soup if you need to stay gluten-free.

Substitutions for Crock Pot Cheesy Potato Kielbasa Soup

This recipe is very easy to customize. I love any soup that you can use what you have on hand instead of getting a whole grocery list of items. I’ve made it several ways and they all end up turning out delicious each time. Make it however you want or with whatever you have!

Cheese

I like to use sharp cheddar cheese for this recipe that I shred myself (see note below), However, if you don’t like sharp cheddar cheese use whatever cheese you prefer. You can do a blend of cheddar and another cheese.

Potatoes

I used cubed red mini potatoes for this recipe. However, I normally use Yukon gold for all my potato recipes. But the grocery store was out of them so I went with the mini red potatoes. As I said before, you can really use any potatoes you have handy or available! Russet, yukon, red will all work.

I have tried making this with frozen diced potatoes and cubed real potatoes. Both recipes taste delicious. Obviously, the frozen potatoes are much easier. If you would like to use those just swap the 1.5 pounds of potatoes for a 32-ounce bag of frozen diced potatoes. I prefer frozen diced potatoes but if you like hash browns, go for it!

The only reason I use fresh potatoes is that my husband likes his veggies to not be too soft and the frozen potatoes were a little too soft when they finished cooking. If that doesn’t bother you then go for the frozen.

Kielbasa

If you don’t like kielbasa you can swap that for any sausage or hot dogs. You can even use turkey kielbasa to lighten it up! Swap out for ham too.

Tips for Making Cheesy Potato Kielbasa Soup

* Shred your own cheese! I always try to warn people about using the pre-shredded cheese that comes in a bag. This cheese has an anti-caking agent that makes it hard to meltdown. This will cause your cheese to clump and not melt into the cheesy goodness it should be. (Also, this anti-caking is sometimes made with flour so not good for gluten-free cooking!)

* Cover the potatoes in the liquid as much as possible. You want to make sure all your potatoes cook evenly. If some are sticking out and not covered in liquid they will take longer to cook.

How to Make Crock Pot Cheesy Potato Kielbasa Soup

Step 1. Combine potatoes, kielbasa, sauteed onion, and 2 cups of cheese in a greased crockpot.

Step 2. Pour melted butter, cream of chicken, and milk over the kielbasa mixture.

Step 3. Stir to combine and sprinkle remaining cheese on top.

Step 4. Cook on high for 4-5 hours or until potatoes are soft.

Food Allergies-

Gluten-Free- I make all my recipes gluten-free since my husband has celiac disease, which means he is allergic to gluten. Be sure to use Gluten Free Cream of Chicken Soup. I use Pacific Foods Cream of Chicken Soup but you can also use Great Value Cream of Chicken Soup from Walmart.

Need a Slow Cooker? My favorite is this Crock Pot 6 quart Programmable Slow Cooker. I love being able to set the timer in case I’m not home when the food is finished cooking and it just switches to warm. Plus you can lock the lid and just carry it to a party. You will never lose another Tupperware or serving dish again at a potluck party!

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Pasta

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Pasta

Easy Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Pasta has all your favorite flavors of Buffalo Dip in a yummy pasta dish! This creamy pasta has just the right amount of spice is a fun and different pasta recipe to try. If you love buffalo chicken dip, which I totally do, this is for you!

I love when I find a simple recipe that I can throw together in a few minutes! I know I have a winner when my husband gets done and says he will be eating the leftovers for lunch and dinner the next day. Just like the my buffalo dip this pasta is addicting and you can’t get enough, hence my husband eating it for the next three meals!

The secret to this recipe is the the cheese and butter you add at the end that gives it a creamy and cheesy texture that is perfect to throw over pasta. Obviously when I say that cheese and butter are the secret ingredients you know it’s going to be a great meal. This is definitely a decadent meal that is perfect for a splurge night!

I am always making new recipes based on what I have in my fridge because I don’t feel like going to the grocery store! I had purchases a buy one get one free on chicken at the grocery store and was trying to come up with a dinner that didn’t require me to buy anything else. And I always have buffalo sauce in our fridge and then I had some leftover cream cheese and knew I was onto something. And the rest is history!

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Pasta- Keto

You can easily make this recipe Keto Friendly by swapping the noodles for zucchini noodles, zoodles. We have this zoodle maker which we use all the time. Or you can even buy zoodles at most grocery stores now in the produce department. I actually think this is a great way to eat it because it gives a little crunch to the dish like the celery when you eat the real buffalo chicken dip!

How to Make Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Pasta

Pour chicken broth, Frank’s Red Hot sauce, and spices to the slow cooker. If you like you buffalo sauce extra spicy this is a perfect time to add a little more hot sauce. Or vice versa add less to make it less spicy. Mix everything together. Add your chicken and coat it with the sauce.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Pasta

Chicken Side Note- I used Red Bird sliced chicken which turned out great in the pasta. You could also cut your chicken into chunks or just use full chicken breasts and shred it once its finished cooking.

Add cream cheese on top of chicken.

Cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 2/12 hours.

Start boiling water 30 minutes prior to serving.

I make everything gluten free in our house because my husband has celiac disease, which is when you are allergic to gluten. Our favorite pasta is the Gluten Free Barillla Pasta line. Some brands disintegrate especially when using in this kind of recipe where the pasta is soaking in liquid. I used the Barilla Gluten Free Rotini for this recipe.

Slow Cooker Broccoli and Cheddar Soup

Slow Cooker Broccoli and Cheddar Soup

This Slow Cooker Broccoli and Cheddar Soup is a great way to warm up on these cool fall nights. There is nothing like coming home from a busy day and having a cozy soup for dinner.

Broccoli cheddar soup is one of my favorites! I always love Panera Bread’s Broccoli Cheddar Soup, who doesn’t? Since I had some leftover heavy cream from making my Creamy Tomato Soup I figured I would try to make my own. It was so cheesy and filled with delicious veggies that I ate it all week long! Turkey sandwich, Lasagna and Taco Salad a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup to go with it! LOL! But seriously it was good!

Great Vegetarian Soup

Looking for a filling and tasty vegetarian soup? This is perfect to pair with a piece of warm crusty bread. Wrap yourself in a blanket and call it a night! I love having soup for dinner and this one has plenty of veggies in it so you can feel good about eating it. But at the same time it’s creamy and cheesy goodness gives you the protein and fat to make it a full meal.

Is Slow Cooker Broccoli and Cheedar Soup Gluten Free?

Yes! I use Cup for Cup gluten free flour for my roux. This is my favorite gluten free flour but you can use any flour you want as long as it’s gluten free. If you’re not gluten free just use regular flour.

How to Make a Roux?

I know! I know! This is slow cooking and now I have to get out a sauce pan and make a roux. But I promise this extra step only takes a few minutes and it is worth it. However, the first time I made a roux it was a disaster. For your first time give yourself a few extra minutes because you don’t want to ruin it. Slow is the name of the game for making a roux.

By the way a roux is just a fancy name for a thickening sauce made by mixing flour and liquid together.

How to Make Slow Cooker Broccoli and Cheddar Soup?

Step 1. Combine the broccoli, onion, shredded carrots, chicken stock, salt, pepper, and nutmeg in the slow cooker and cook on low for four hours.

Step 2. Turn slow cooker up to high setting.

Step 3. Take 1/3 of the broccoli out of the crockpot and set aside in a bowl. Using an immersion blender blend the remaining ingredients in the crockpot. Add broccoli back in once blended.

Step 4. Melt butter and add the flour. Whisk the flour in slowly.  Get a cup of liquid from the slow cooker.  Add it to the flour mixture slowly.  Then very slowly whisk in the heavy cream.

Step 5. Add the shredded cheese to the roux mixture a little at a time until it is fully melted and combined. Take the cheese sauce and mix it into the crock pot. Stir to fully combine.

Gluten-Free- I make all my recipes gluten-free since my husband has celiac disease, which means he is allergic to gluten. This recipe calls for flour which is not gluten free. Make sure to use gluten free flour like Cup for Cup.

Best Slow Cooker Lasagna

Make the best slow cooker lasagna ever for dinner tonight. It’s cheesy, gooey, and delicious lasagna goodness in every bite. With just a few quick steps, you’ll love this lazy lasagna recipe!

Take one bite and you’ll know that this is the best slow cooker lasagna you’ve ever tasted. And you won’t believe how easy this classic comfort food is to make in your slow cooker!

Making lasagna this way is so much easier, you may never go back to the oven!

Lazy slow cooker lasagna

Slow Cooker Lasagna

I found out you could do pasta in the Crock Pot when I came up with my Crock Pot Baked Ziti recipe, so I figured it only made sense to try it with lasagna next. And oh boy, am I glad it did! What happened was simply amazing.

The best part? You don’t even have to cook the pasta before putting it in the crock pot.

If you are like me and think the noodles will turn to mush you are wrong! The cook time is shorter than a typical slow cooker meal so it doesn’t cook all day which would likely make the noodles fall apart. They came out just right with this recipe!

There are actually tons of Italian recipes you can make in your slow cooker, two other easy ones are Creamy Italian Chicken and Bruschetta Chicken, if you aren’t feeling pasta.

How to Make Lasagna in the Slow Cooker

Are you ready for the secret to this slow cooker lasagna recipe? Here it comes…

The secret is that you don’t add any water to the pasta- the tomato sauce slowly cooks the pasta for you! It does all the work so you can enjoy a delicious meal that’s cooked perfectly every time.

This recipe is so simple that all you have to do is mix a few ingredients together and then layer them all together in your slow cooker. Then just like that- you have a traditional lasagna ready for dinner that your whole family will love.

How to Layer Lasagna

The key to a good lasagna is all in the layering.

You want to make sure that each layer has enough sauce so the noodles don’t dry out, but not too much or else your lasagna will be soupy.

I have found that the perfect amount is ½ cup of sauce for each layer.

When you are layering the lasagna, start with a layer of sauce on the bottom of your slow cooker, then add a single layer of noodles.

Break them so they fit snugly in the crock pot.

Top the noodles with half of the ricotta mixture and ½ cup of mozzarella cheese. Continue with a second layer of sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture and mozzarella cheese.

Finish the lasagna with one final layer of noodles, then cover it all with tomato sauce and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.

Can I Make Lasagna Ahead of Time?

You can absolutely make this lasagna recipe ahead of time!

Just follow all of the instructions up until you are ready to cook it. Instead of cooking it, cover the slow cooker and place it in the fridge for up to 24 hours.

When you are ready to cook it, let it sit out on the counter for 30 minutes to come to room temperature. Then cook it according to the recipe instructions.

Cheese, Cheese, and More Cheese!

The triple cheese blend makes this lasagna a melty cheesy masterpiece. All of these cheeses add a unique flavor and gives you that real Italian restaurant lasagna experience.

  • Ricotta
  • Parmesan
  • Mozzarella

Mix it Up and Make It Your Own

One of my favorite parts of lasagna is that you can cater it to any tastes or diet. I went with my classic lasagna recipe which is ground beef, ricotta (part of my famous three cheese combo) and red sauce. But if you don’t like ricotta swap it for cottage cheese. If you are looking for a vegetarian recipe leave out the meat and add more veggies like spinach. Ground beef isn’t your favorite meat use Italian sausage or turkey. The sky is the limit on what you can do with this classic slow cooker lasagna.

Types of Pasta to Use

I actually used these gluten free lasagna noodles instead of traditional noodles. These are no boil noodles so they do cook faster that regular lasagna noodles. If you are using the regular ones or “boil” you will want to cook the pasta for at least 4 hours. Any type of lasagna noodle will work for this recipe.

Ingredients to Make Slow Cooker Lasagna

  • Ground Beef or Crumbled Italian Sausage
  • Jarred pasta sauce or homemade sauce
  • Lasagna Noodles (see note on no boil noodles)
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Egg
  • Freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Basil
  • Salt and Pepper

Step by Step Directions for Slow Cooker Lasagna

Step 1. Spray Slow Cooker with Non Stick Spray or oil.

Step 2. Mix Ricotta Cheese with egg and spices.

Step 3. Add ground beef to a large saute pan, and cook over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through.

Step 4. Add pasta sauce and diced tomatoes and stir.

Food Allergies

Our favorite pasta is the Gluten Free Barillla Pasta line. It doesn’t have the aftertaste of some pasta made with beans. I find that it is the best one at staying together while cooking. Some brands disintegrate especially when used in this kind of recipe where the pasta is soaking in sauce soaking.

If you are not gluten free swap the gluten free pasta for any lasagna noodles.

BBQ Ribs in Crock Pot with Sweet Baby Ray’s

Fall Off the Bone Crockpot Ribs

Make BBQ Ribs in Crock Pot with Sweet Baby Ray’s sauce that will melt in your mouth! These slow cooker ribs are easy to prep with your slow cooker doing all the work. People will think you were in the kitchen all day cooking when really your crockpot does the work. Add a delicious side dish like my famous creamed corn and dinner is done.

BBQ Ribs in Crock Pot with Sweet Baby Ray’s

My husband makes the best ribs in the smoker and they take all day with 5 steps and you have to stay home all day. But every person who has ever eaten them loves them. Sometimes I want to have ribs but don’t want to put the effort in on the smoker so I decided to make his recipe in my Crock Pot and they ended up tender and filled with his same flavor with 10% of the work. He even approved of these!

Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbeque Sauce

You can’t make these ribs without Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbecue Sauce! The sauce really is the boss. This barbeque sauce is the best and comes in so many flavors. I stick to the classic Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbeque Sauce for this recipe but you can use any version you want.

They were perfect for a football party we were hosting for a few friends since I was able to leave them all day while I actually went to my son’s flag football game. We came home and everything was ready to go.

You will still need to finish them for 5-10 minutes on a grill or oven but this step only takes minutes instead of the hours he spends at the smoker.

What to Serve with Crock Pot Ribs

There are so many great sides to serve with ribs! You can make these delicious baked beans or coleslaw. Another side I always love to serve is potatoes either french fries or these cheesy party potatoes!

What Type of Meat to Use for Fall Off the Bone Crock Pot Ribs?

I use pork baby back ribs when I make ribs. They are the most tender ribs in my opinion. You could use spare ribs as well but they usually don’t end up as tender and have little bones and cartilage that I don’t like to pick out.

How To Make Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Step 2. Rub dry rub mixture onto ribs and make sure to press it into the meat. Repeat this on each section.

Crockpot Cajun Chicken Alfredo

Crockpot Cajun Chicken Alfredo

There is something about Chicken Alfredo that is so classic and I just can’t ever get enough of it! However, I thought that maybe I could make a Chicken Alfredo with a little cajun kick and it was de-li-cious! Crockpot Cajun Chicken Alfredo will be one of your new favorite dishes for dinner!

Of course you can buy a jar of Alfredo Sauce at the store but after you make this recipe you will see how yummy and easy homemade can be. Another delicious recipe where you can make your own cream sauce is in this Tuscan Garlic Chicken Recipe!

I make the Alfredo sauce right in the crockpot insert because I am lazy and don’t feel like making any more dishes that are necessary. I have found some chicken release a lot of liquid as it cooks so I prefer to thicken the sauce once it is finished. That way I know it will be creamy and thick over the pasta or rice.

If you are looking for a thicker sauce to put on in the beginning you can cook the cream, chicken broth and cheese together on the stove ahead of time and then pour into the crockpot once it has thickened and skip the thickening step at the end.

How Spicy is Crockpot Cajun Chicken Alfredo?

This recipe has some kick to it! Especially with the red pepper flakes that I add. In case you are wondering, Cajun Spice usually contains garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, onion powder, cayenne pepper, thyme, oregano, red pepper flakes, and salt. You could easily make this recipe less spicy by not using the red pepper flakes and only 1 or 2 Tablespoons of Cajun Spice. I used this Cajun Spice but you could easily make your own too.

Crockpot Cajun Chicken Alfredo- Keto, Low Carb and Gluten Free

This recipe is perfect if you are following the low carb or Keto diet. As long as you eat the Crockpot Cajun Chicken Alfredo over cauliflower rice or zoodles it is a great way to stay on track.

This recipe is also naturally gluten free. One of my favorite way is to eat it is over Barilla Gluten-free penne pasta if you are not following the low carb or Keto diet.

However if you serve it over pasta make sure to use gluten free pasta. My favorite is Barilla Gluten Free Penne. You can buy it on Amazon here.

Use any pasta you want if you don’t need it to be Gluten Free.

My favorite is this Crock Pot 7 quart Programmable Slow Cooker. Classic Slow Cooker Chili

Classic Slow Cooker Chili

Make award winning Classic Slow Cooker Chili in your crockpot! Come home to have this hearty chili waiting for you for dinner tonight. This meaty and thick chili will keep you warm all winter long. The best part is that it is super easy to make without a long list of ingredients.

Classic Slow Cooker Chili

Classic Slow Cooker Chili is the perfect meal to make in your crockpot because it gets better when it cooks all day. I call this classic chili because it is my family recipe that has all the traditional flavors you expect in chili. If you like your chili a little more mild feel free to leave out the cayenne and half the red pepper flakes.

I love to make this on a Monday in the morning and let it cook all day long! Another chili recipe I love is this Chili made with chipotle chilis and not a classic chili. But this chili recipe is a standard perfect chili recipe with everything made just right.

Different Ways to Eat Classic Slow Cooker Chili

I love to make chili one night and eat it for three meals during the week. This recipe is so good I never get tired of eating it. The ideas are endless of what to eat with your chili.

Crockpot Chili goes great with tortilla chips, cornbread, or tortillas.I usually top it with avocado, shredded cheese and sour cream.

While Crockpot Chili is great on its own your can also eat it with baked potatoes, on hot dogs, over french fries or use extras in my Slow Cooker Chili Cheese Dip.

To Brown or Not to Brown

I think that browning the meat on the stove is an important step to add flavor and really seal in all the spices. If you are short on time you can skip this step and all the flavors will still combine to make a tasty chili.

Healthier Classic Slow Cooker Chili

Looking for a healthier option? You can easily swap the 85% ground beef for 70% ground beef. Or you can take it up a notch and swap it for ground turkey. Just don’t get to lean on the turkey or you might have a lack of fat that is essential to the taste of chili.

Crockpot Chili Party Ideas

One of my favorite things to serve at a party is chili! I even use my three crockpots and serve up different kinds of chili. Then I make a chili bar and load up on all the toppings. Here is usually what I put out.

  • Shredded Cheese
  • Avocados
  • Sour Cream
  • Green Onions
  • Pickled Jalapeños
  • Cilantro
  • Limes
  • Bacon
  • Tortilla Chips
  • Corn Chips
  • Tortillas (corn and flour)
  • Saltines
  • Cornbread

Slow Cooker Bruschetta Chicken

Slow Cooker Bruschetta Chicken

All your favorite flavors of bruschetta are paired with juicy chicken to make Slow Cooker Bruschetta! Make this easy dinner that is bursting with fresh tomatoes and basil.

Slow Cooker Bruschetta Chicken

Getting dinner on the table every night can be such a hassle. Trying to make them semi-healthy can be even more difficult. But this meal does both. You can throw the chicken in the crockpot with a can of tomatoes, garlic, salt and pepper and let that slow cook all day. Once the chicken is cooked all you have to do is top it with tomatoes, fresh basil and mozzarella cheese.

All of these classic Italian flavors gives this chicken such a unique and fresh flavor you will want to have seconds, which I did. Make sure to add this to your dinner rotation as soon as possible. This is definitely going to be on our dinner table often!

Disclaimer- Some links below are Amazon affiliate links, meaning at no extra cost to you, I will earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase.

What is Bruschetta?

Bruschetta is usually a toasted bread that is topped with diced tomatoes, garlic and fresh basil. The bruschetta actually refers to the bread portion of the classic appetizer but in this recipe we swapped the bread for chicken breast to make it a meal! You can actually top bruschetta with anything just like you could with the chicken but this tomato version is always my favorite combo. But feel free to add anything else you love like olives or bacon! I took the liberty to add mozzarella cheese too since everything is better with cheese.

Is Slow Cooker Bruschetta Chicken Keto and Gluten Free?

Slow Cooker Bruschetta Chicken is Keto, Low Carb and Gluten Free! The only piece that you have to be careful with is the balsamic vinegar, however you only use a small amount of this to add a little flavor. If you want you could swap it for red wine vinegar if you want. Be sure not to make a balsamic reduction though to stay Keto. Bruschetta Chicken is naturally gluten free so you don’t need to worry about anything with this recipe!

What to Serve with Slow Cooker Bruschetta Chicken

There are tons of ways to eat this bruschetta chicken. My favorite way is to eat it over Barilla Gluten-free penne pasta. The tomato mixture from the crockpot makes a delicious pasta sauce. If you are extra fancy you can make a balsamic reduction to go over your chicken. All you have to do is heat you balsamic vinegar over medium heat until it thickens into a syrup. It took about 5 minutes for mine to reduce but it depends on the type of vinegar you have.

If you are trying to be low carb or Keto you can eat this over cauliflower rice, salad or just on its own.

How to Make Slow Cooker Bruschetta Chicken

  • Boneless Skinless Chicken
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Diced tomatoes with garlic, basil and oregano
  • Fresh Basil
  • Tomatoes
  • Red onion
  • Kalamata Olives (optional)
  • Minced garlic (not pictured)

Step 1. Place chicken in crockpot. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and add minced garlic.

Step 2. Pour can of diced tomatoes over chicken and top with onions.

Step 3. Cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.

Step 4. Chop tomatoes and basil (olives optional) and drizzle with 1 teaspoon of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Add salt and pepper if desired. Put mixture in refrigerator until serving. This can be done right before dinner also, I just like the flavors to combine.

Crockpot Jalapeño Chicken

Crockpot Jalapeño Chicken

Crockpot Jalapeño Chicken is a delicious and cheesy dish loaded with cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapeños and bacon! You only need a few minutes of prep and 5 ingredients to have this wonderful meal ready for dinner. This dish is also gluten free, low carb and Keto!

I had a few leftover jalapeños from another meal we had so I was trying to think of what I could make with them and I had some cream cheese in the fridge too. Of course, one of my favorite recipes came to mind, Crack Chicken! What if I added jalapeños to the mix?? It was great! It added a little bit of heat and gave it a Mexican twist. I always love when I can add an ingredient to another recipe and make a whole new meal out of it. I didn’t have any ranch to mix in but it was still tasty without it! But I might add it next time…

Disclaimer- Some links below are Amazon affiliate links, meaning at no extra cost to you, I will earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase.

How Spicy is Crockpot Jalapeño Chicken?

You can make Jalapeno Chicken as spicy or mild as you want! If you want to keep it spicy you would cut up the jalapeños and put all the seeds and membrane into the dish.

If you want it to be less spicy you would cut the jalapeños lengthwise and then cut the membranes and seeds out and discard them. You can also wash them real fast to make sure everything is removed.

Another option for less spice is to use pickled jalapeño from a jar. These always have less spice. But as the jalapeños cook they do lose a lot of the heat. Just make sure not to add any fresh jalapeños as a garnish on top after cooking, I know from personal experience!!

Keto, Low Carb and Gluten Free

We have been trying out new meals since my husband started his low carb diet. This was another one that we tried and loved. It is also gluten free since all my recipes are gluten free since my husband is also allergic to gluten. This meal shows how you can cook low carb and gluten free and still have tasty and easy meals. Eat over cauliflower rice or with a salad to keep it low carb!

Steakhouse Creamed Corn Recipe

Crockpot Creamed Corn

Make this steakhouse creamed corn recipe from scratch in your Crockpot! Crockpot Creamed Corn is so easy to make and it tastes fancy just like a your favorite steakhouse restaurant.

Steakhouse Creamed Corn Recipe

I love a good steak but most of the time I go to a steakhouse to get the delicious side dishes. While mashed potatoes will always be my first love, creamed corn is a close runner-up. There is something about the sweet corn paired with the creamy sauce that is just irresistible.

The first time I went to Lawry’s Steakhouse was when I lived in Los Angeles and they have location of Lawry’s in Beverly Hills. Once I had a bite of their famous Lawry’s Cream Corn I fell in love. I had only ever had the kind that came out of a can before and this was so much better. The prime rib was also good but not as great as the creamed corn!

And if you are asking yourself is this the same as Lawry’s Seasoning Salt the answer is yes!! Lawry’s Seasoned Salt is the signature seasoned salt from the famous Lawry’s Prime Rib restaurants that I always use to jazz up any recipe. So if you do want to make a steak to go with this steakhouse creamed corn grab your Lawry’s Salt to have a true steakhouse experience.

Lawry’s Creamed Corn Recipe

If you are like me and love corn then this steakhouse creamed corn recipe is made just for you. You only need 5 ingredients to make this melt in your mouth corn which makes it the easiest side dish you can make. Corn, milk, cream cheese, sugar, and salt. Lawry’s uses whipping cream but I have found that the cream cheese gives it the same flavor.

But don’t keep this steakhouse creamed corn recipe just for steak! The best part is that it goes with everything… steaks, roast, chicken, BBQ.

Crockpot Creamed Corn Recipe

Every time I make this side dish no matter what the main course is this always steals the show.

There is something about the combo that almost everyone loves! That’s why you can find a variation of it at steakhouse restaurants and BBQ joints everywhere. This is always my go-to for any potluck side or dinner party. My crockpot always comes home empty from everyone going back for seconds!

Thanksgiving Side Dish

Crockpot Creamed Corn

Crockpot Creamed Corn is a classic side dish for Thanksgiving and Christmas! This recipe has always found its way onto our table for these holidays. I love making it in the Crockpot because the stove and oven are in high demand.

Anytime I can do a fix it and forget recipe on those busy days then it gets added to my menu. Plus, everyone thinks this is a fancy side dish because it tastes just like what you get at upscale restuarants.

It is even better because it can stay warm so there is no precise time that it needs to be taken out. I would always give it a good stir 5 minutes before serving but other than that you can just let the crockpot do the work for you!

Food Allergies-

Gluten-Free- I make all my recipes gluten-free since my husband has celiac disease, which means he is allergic to gluten. This recipe is naturally gluten free. However, if you serve it over pasta make sure to use gluten free pasta. My favorite is Barilla Gluten Free Penne. You can buy it on Amazon here. Also, always check your sausages and bratwurst to make sure they are gluten free since sometimes they put beer or other ingredients int the meat.

*Use any pasta you want if you don’t need it to be Gluten Free.
