BBQ Ribs in Crock Pot with Sweet Baby Ray's Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 rack of ribs
  • 1/2 cup apple juice/cider
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or water
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 cup bbq sauce
  • 1 yellow onion sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced

Dry Rub Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Instructions

  • Remove membrane off back of ribs and cut ribs into smaller sections, 2-3 ribs per section.
  • Mix together dry rub ingredients. (see ingredients above) Rub dry rub mixture onto ribs and make sure to press it into the meat. Repeat this on each section.
  • Place ribs into crock pot and pour honey over ribs.
  • Pour onions and garlic over ribs.
  • Pour apple juice and chicken broth over ribs.
  • Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.
  • Remove ribs from crockpot and transfer to a baking sheet. Brush ribs with BBQ Sauce on ribs and broil for 5 minutes.
