Crockpot Italian Sausages and Peppers

  • 1 pound Italian Sausage or Bratwurst
  • 3 bell peppers cut into strips lengthwise
  • 2 medium onions cut into strips
  • 3 cloves cloves minced
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive oil


  • Heat a skillet on medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil to the pan.
  • Sear the Italian sausages 2-3 mins on each side until starting to brown. You are not cooking the sausages, just adding flavor to the dish.
  • Cut bell peppers and onions into strips.
  • Add sliced bell peppers and onions to the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Place browned sausages on top of onions and peppers.
  • Sprinkle salt, pepper, and garlic on top of veggies and peppers.
  • Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 5-7 hours or until meat is at 160 degrees F.
