Mississippi Pot Roast

Mississippi Pot Roast is the most delicious and easiest pot roast you will ever make! It’s hard to believe that a recipe with only 5 ingredients could be this good but it is!

Ingredients

  • 3-4 pound chuck roast or your choice of cut
  • Canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter 1 stick
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix Pioneer is gluten free
  • 3-4 pepperoncini

Instructions

  • Heat canola oil in pan.
  • Salt and pepper entire roast.
  • Sear each side of the meat for 5 minutes.
  • Add roast to Crockpot.
  • Sprinkle ranch packet and gravy packet over meat.
  • Place a stick of butter on top of everything.
  • Add 3-4 pepperoncini on and around meat. (Add more or less depending on how much heat you like)
  • Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4-5.
  • Shred with two forks.
