Easy Crock Pot sweet potato casserole is a favorite side dish for any Thanksgiving table! Sweet Potato Casserole in the slow cooker makes this gluten-free holiday classic even easier.

  • 3 pounds sweet potatoes cubed
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows


  • Cube sweet potatoes and add to slow cooker.
  • Add 1 tablespoon cornstarch to sweet potatoes and stir.
  • Mix melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon,nutmeg, allspice, and vanilla together in a separate bowl. Pour over sweet potatoes.
  • Cover and cook on low heat for 7-8 hours or high heat for 4-5 hours.
  • Once finsished cooking, mash to desired constancy.
  • Top sweet potatoes with mini marshmallows. Cover and allow the marshmallows to melt. Optional- Put slow cooker insert only into the oven at 400 degrees to brown marshmallows.
  • Serve immediately.
