Crock Pot Corned Beef and Cabbage

Crock Pot Corned Beef and Cabbage is the simplest and easiest way to make this classic comfort food! 

Crock Pot Corned Beef and Cabbage is perfect to make for St. Patrick's Day or any night. Melt in your mouth tender beef, cabbage, and veggies. 

Corned beef is salt-cured brisket. This is different than plain brisket which has not been cured.

What is Corned Beef?

Two Types of Cuts

Point Cut- Uniform in size, easier to cut and more lean. Flat Cut- More marbling (fat) but not uniform in size. 

Ingredients

– Corned Beef with    Spice Packet – Apple Cider Vinegar  – Sugar – Onion – Carrots – Potatoes – Cabbage

Layer carrots, onions and potatoes on bottom of the Crock Pot. Place corned beef on top fat side up.

Add spice packet and cabbage. Add cabbage during the last two hours if you want it more crisp.

Add water(or broth), apple cider vinegar and sugar. Cover and cook for 8-10 hours until tender.

Remove Corned Beef and let sit for 5 minutes. Cut against the grain. Serve with veggies and cabbage.
