Crockpot Jambalaya

This one pot dinner is filling and flavorful.  Make this easy slow cooker jambalaya and it will be a new family favorite. 

Jambalaya is a popular dish that originated in New Orleans.  Try this Crockpot Jambalaya to bring some Cajun to your dinner table! The main ingredients are usually chicken, sausage, shrimp, bell peppers, celery, onion (the holy trinity), tomatoes, cajun spices and rice. 

Ingredients

- Chicken - Andouille sausage  - Shrimp - Onions - Bell pepper - Celery - Creole Seasoning - Diced Tomatoes - Chicken Broth - Rice - Bay leaves - Garlic

Add chicken, sausage bell pepper, onions and celery to the crockpot.

Add diced tomatoes, chicken broth, and seasoning. Cook on on low for 5 hours or high for 3 1/2 hours.

Add the shrimp 30 minutes before finished cooking or until shrimp are cooked through.

Once finished cooking, add cooked rice. Stir in rice until combined. Discard bay leaves and serve.

Serve with chopped green onions, and bread.
