Tis the season for everything pumpkin spice! Crock-tober, term for October, means it’s time to break out my Crock Pot to make this creamy and delicious Crock Pot Pumpkin Hot Chocolate! Everyone loves to have a cup of this hot chocolate at Halloween and Thanksgiving where I always serve it. You can even spike this to make it an adult cocktail.
Once September hits I’m all about the Pumpkin Spice. However, I live in Phoenix so hot chocolate is out of the question until the end of October. I love when there is a chill in the air and I can put on sweater and pour a cup of this Crock Pot Pumpkin Hot Chocolate. When my six year old son had the first sip of this he said this was the best thing I ever made, hahaha!

Swap Semi-Sweet Chocolate for White Chocolate in Crock Pot Pumpkin Hot Chocolate?
Absolutely, Semi-Sweet or Milk Chocolate will work just as well! I just like that using white chocolate instead to have a fun twist on the traditional hot chocolate. Semi-sweet milk chocolate is not as sweet as white chocolate so you may want to add a tablespoon of sugar as well if you want to have the same sweetness.
I do recommend to use the high quality chocolate, like these Ghirardelli White Chocolate, no matter what you use! It really does make a difference in the end result.

Need A New Crock Pot?
My favorite is this Crock Pot 7 quart Programmable Slow Cooker. First and foremost, I love being able to set the timer in case I’m not home when the food is finished cooking and it just switches to warm. Plus you can lock the lid and just carry it to a party. Not only is it easy to carry but also you will never lose another Tupperware or serving dish again at a potluck party!
