Make this cozy creamy Crock Pot Pumpkin Hot Chocolate for any party or get together!

Tis the season for everything pumpkin spice! Crock-tober, term for October, means it’s time to break out my Crock Pot to make this creamy and delicious Crock Pot Pumpkin Hot Chocolate! Everyone loves to have a cup of this hot chocolate at Halloween and Thanksgiving where I always serve it. You can even spike this to make it an adult cocktail.

Once September hits I’m all about the Pumpkin Spice. However, I live in Phoenix so hot chocolate is out of the question until the end of October. I love when there is a chill in the air and I can put on sweater and pour a cup of this Crock Pot Pumpkin Hot Chocolate. When my six year old son had the first sip of this he said this was the best thing I ever made, hahaha!

You never need to talk me into having a cup of this pumpkin hot chocolate but in case you need an arm twist…This recipe includes real pumpkin puree so you can even get some points for getting a dose of  potassium and beta-carotene while you enjoy this decadent treat! See you didn’t even know this was healthy, lol!

Swap Semi-Sweet Chocolate for White Chocolate in Crock Pot Pumpkin Hot Chocolate?

Absolutely, Semi-Sweet or Milk Chocolate will work just as well! I just like that using white chocolate instead to have a fun twist on the traditional hot chocolate. Semi-sweet milk chocolate is not as sweet as white chocolate so you may want to add a tablespoon of sugar as well if you want to have the same sweetness.

I do recommend to use the high quality chocolate, like these Ghirardelli White Chocolate, no matter what you use! It really does make a difference in the end result.

Crock Pot Pumpkin Hot Chocolate Bar

Thanks to my amazing sister-in-law Jenn for introducing me to the Crock Pot Hot Chocolate Bar! I’m telling you this is the cutest thing ever and makes any party festive. Just arrange the crockpot on a table and put everything out for people. I love it because she sets out all of these adorable ways to add toppings to your rich hot chocolate that make it even better. You can use this for any gathering or holiday! It makes a perfect and easy way for people to make their own hot chocolate just how they want.

Vegan Crock Pot Pumpkin Hot Chocolate

You can actually make this Pumpkin Hot Chocolate Vegan pretty easy! There are so many wonderful coconut replacements for everything now. All of these were at my neighborhood grocery store, Safeway.

Swap-

  • Coconut Condensed Milk for Condensed Milk
  • Coconut Creamer or Coconut Cream for Heavy Cream
  • Vegan White Chocolate Chips for White Chocolate Chips
  • Almond Milk for Cow’s Milk

Food Allergies

Gluten-Free- I make all my recipes gluten-free since my husband has celiac disease, which means he is allergic to gluten. This recipe naturally is gluten free. Just make sure that all the toppings you add are also gluten free!

Need A New Crock Pot?

My favorite is this Crock Pot 7 quart Programmable Slow Cooker. First and foremost, I love being able to set the timer in case I’m not home when the food is finished cooking and it just switches to warm. Plus you can lock the lid and just carry it to a party. Not only is it easy to carry but also you will never lose another Tupperware or serving dish again at a potluck party!
