Fran says
How much cornstarch and water would you use to make the gravy?
Allison Treadwell says
Hi Fran! I start with one tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with one tablespoon of cold water (aka a cornstarch slurry) and add the same measurements until desired thickness develops. It does take a little time so wait 5 minutes at least before adding more.
Theresa says
Made it yesterday…delicious, however in the future I would brown meat first.
Sarah says
Can you use canned mushrooms?
Allison Treadwell says
Absolutely! Anything will add the flavor.
Barbara Mornar says
Can you freeze leftovers/
Matt Fay says
Barbara – I would not recommend freezing. I think that would have a negative impact on the dish when reheated. Would not be nearly as delicious.
