HOW TO EAT CROCKPOT ITALIAN SAUSAGES AND PEPPERS?
This can be an easy one pot dinner and you can eat the peppers and veggies by themselves. However, if you want to add a little more to the meal and stretch it out try one of these ideas!
Another way it to add some mozzarella cheese on top and this keeps the meal keto or low carb but adds some more flavor and fat! Dip in sugar free marina sauce like Rao’s Marina Sauce.

This recipe is great for parties or game day! Just double the recipe and serve. It’s great because people can eat them however they want and whenever they want. I always love a recipe that I can make ahead of time for a party!
HOW TO MAKE CROCKPOT ITALIAN SAUSAGES AND PEPPERS
Heat a skillet on medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil to the pan.
Sear the Italian sausages 2-3 mins on each side until starting to brown. You are not cooking the sausages, just adding flavor to the dish.
Cut bell peppers and onions into strips. Add sliced bell peppers and onions to the bottom of the crockpot.
Place browned sausages on top of onions and peppers.
Sprinkle salt, pepper and garlic on top of veggies and peppers.
Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 5-7 hours or until meat is at 160 degrees F.
Gluten-Free- I make all my recipes gluten-free since my husband has celiac disease, which means he is allergic to gluten. This recipe is naturally gluten free. However, if you serve it over pasta make sure to use gluten free pasta. My favorite is Barilla Gluten Free Penne. You can buy it on Amazon here. Also, always check your sausages and bratwurst to make sure they are gluten free since sometimes they put beer or other ingredients int the meat.
*Use any pasta you want if you don’t need it to be Gluten Free.
